Let’s Stop Saying Oxblood, Please
An open letter to the fashion community
Dear fashion community,
Please stop calling the fall’s it color oxblood.
When I look at this beautiful color, I do not want to think of an ox (or any other animal) bleeding.
I’d rather think of wine and call it merlot, or chianti. I’d rather think of Will Ferrel (and follow Ann Taylor’s lead) and call it burgundy.
Anything except blood. Thank you.
