Join Me on Pose!

I’m not sure what took me so long, but I finally signed up for Pose!

Pose is a photo sharing app and website where you can upload pictures of your outfit and accessories to share with other fashionistas. The photos can be pushed to your Facebook, Twitter and/or Tumblr pages. I chose not to update Facebook because it not only shares photos, but every. single. thing. you. do. I find that a bit annoying.

(By the way, does anyone know if you can push Facebook updates to a page, like the one for Fresh Squeezed?)

You can also tag the designers and brands you are wearing in those photos.

This is my first Pose outfit from this morning. Check out the details here and feel free to follow me if you’re on Pose (I’m christamarzan)!

Double Duty

Last Thursday was one of the most beautiful days of the year. It was a gorgeous 70 degrees with bright sun shining down and when it’s that lovely outside, I have to celebrate with a pretty outfit.

[Dress, Dana Buchman at Kohl's; Blazer, BCBGMAXAZRIA; Shoes, Michael Michael Kors (similar)]

For weeks, I was waiting to wear this incredible blazer I snatched up from BCBGMAXAZRIA. Since last week was so nice, I decided to ditch a coat and try to pair it with this pretty color block dress on Kohl’s. The colors of this dress are so beautiful for spring and I love how each compliments the color of the year, Tangerine Tango. My favorite thing about this dress is that it combines three spring trends in one: color blocking, sorbet colors, and pleating. I love when my clothes multitask!

I wish my toes were pedicure ready for some sandals or wedges instead of the Michael Michael Kors flats I paired it with instead. I think this outfit would look great with these wedges I received from Stuart Weitzman last August, and I can’t wait to break them out later in the season. I also think this would work well with strands of long, gold necklaces and studs instead of the long earrings and pulled back look.

What are your favorite spring trends?

PS: Thanks for featuring my outfit on Get Jessed Up, Jess

School House Apparel

This week was a VERY exciting week for my alma mater, Loyola University Maryland. Our men’s basketball team won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship game on Monday night, thus giving the team its first NCAA playoff berth since 1994. Needless to say, this is pretty major for us. I haven’t been this excited about Loyola basketball since I was a cheerleader during my sophomore year.

So, on Tuesday, I wanted to show my Loyola pride while at the office. I couldn’t just show up in one of the many raggy Loyola t-shirts I’ve collected over the years. Luckily, I remembered that I did have something appropriate to wear. Enter School House.

School House is an collegiate apparel website that prides itself in ethical manufacturing. I love that the founder of the company was focused on bringing the manufacturing of the clothing eventually to the United States, from Sri Lanka, and she did just that about a year ago.

School House was kind enough to send me some Loyola gear to try out, and I ended up wearing this cardigan on Tuesday.

I had to show how proud I was of my alma mater somehow!

School House is available at a variety of schools already, so check ‘em out and see if you’re school has some fashionable, ethically made gear!

PS: GO HOUNDS :)

L’Odyssée de Cartier: A Long Commercial/Short Film

If you were watching any Sunday night television, you most likely saw this epically long commercial/short film from Cartier.

It also aired during The Today Show this morning int he 7 o’clock hour.

I’m not really sure what the point of this commercial/short film was, but I think I like it. What do you think?
